Global food supply is seriously being disrupted by the pandemic at almost all stages, with a devastating impact on the ability of people across the world to access and afford food. While the challenge is broader, trade can help ACP countries mitigate the impact and prepare for the future. By providing guidance to policy-makers and practitioners on how to strengthen food security, this online live event will build on the following key aspects:
  • What signals look for to assess food Supply Chain disruptions?
  • Which short-term policy measures can help minimize the negative impact and manage the crisis?
  • What reforms can be implemented to improve access to food in the medium term?
