Policymakers, private sector and civil society representatives from across the African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) regions are to meet online for a webinar in May. The focus? Exploring how legal and policy reforms can enhance women’s freedoms and unlock greater economic opportunities for them and building stronger and more resilient economies for all.
This webinar is the culmination of a research project supported by the Investment Climate Reform (ICR) Facility and commissioned by its donors, the European Union, the Organization for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the British Council. The research was carried out by Intellera Consulting and its consortium partners.
The aim of the research was to assess how recent reforms in three ACP countries have translated into progress for women on the ground, asking the question: to what extent have these reforms advanced women’s (economic) empowerment in their context of reference?
