Context

The techical assistance produced a study on the representativeness of women in the industrial sector in Côte d’Ivoire and the major obstacles to it. The CGECI will use this study as a basis for lobbying the public authorities to raise awareness of the issue and take action to improve the representation of women in the industrial sector.

Objective

At the end of the intervention, the CGECI has a study demonstrating the specific obstacles facing women and the need for support and regulation in order to support better representation in the industrial sector. It is able to lobby the public authorities to remove potential regulatory obstacles, integrate women into Côte d’Ivoire’s industrialisation strategy and, if necessary, support reforms to make the business environment more favourable to women, particularly in the industrial sector.

"Thanks to the ICR Facility, a study identified specific barriers faced by women in the business environment."
Anastasie Kadja-Ohouo
Head of Entrepreneurship, CGECI
