Lessons learnt from the ICR Facility’s support to WEE in the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries
Event Summary
Women’s economic empowerment is not just a moral imperative—it is a driver of economic growth and sustainability. Over the past five years, the ICR Facility has supported more than 60 interventions across African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) countries, working to create a more gender-sensitive business environment. As a result:
- 30 policies have been adapted to promote women’s economic opportunities.
- 700 partners from the public and private sectors have strengthened their capacity to influence and implement gender-inclusive reforms.
- Targeted technical assistance, training, and knowledge-sharing have provided the tools to make the business environment more inclusive for women.
This InfoPoint Conference provided an opportunity to reflect on key lessons and best practices from these interventions.
