Session 4 of DFI Exchange Group

You’re Invited to the 4th ICR Facility DFI Exchange Group on Wholesale Lending! 

Join us for an engaging peer learning experience focused on Wholesale Lending for Development Finance Institutions (DFIs). This two-part DFI Exchange Group will provide valuable insights, technical guidance, and real-world examples from DFIs on key aspects of wholesale lending. Our guest speakers will be:

  • Ijeoma Ozulumba Doris, Executive Director/CFO, Development Bank of Nigeria
  • Edison Galbraith, Acting Managing Director, Development Bank of Jamaica
  • Development Bank Ghana (representative tbc)

 

Session 1: Wholesale Lending: Overview 

Featuring the experience from the Development Bank of Nigeria and Development Bank of Jamaica,  the session aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of wholesale lending, including:  

  • Best practices for due diligence on partner financial intermediaries (PFIs) 
  • Integrating gender criteria in PFI assessments 
  • Techniques for effective impact reporting 

 

Session 2: Wholesale Lending: Capacity Building and Technical Assistance for PFIs 

Featuring the experience from from the Development Bank of Nigeria and the Development Bank Ghana, the session aims to explore innovative approaches to supporting PFIs through: 

  • Capacity Building 
  • Technical Assistance  
  • Practical methods for incorporating gender mainstreaming 

Each session will feature interactive discussions, presentations, and practical examples shared by DFIs, highlighting their experiences, lessons learned, and impactful strategies in these critical areas.
