Intervention:
Addressing gender based violence in workplaces in Zimbabwe
Objective
The objective of the intervention is to support EMCOZ in working with its members and policymakers to build conditions that minimise the prevalence of workplace GBV.
Description
The technical assistance being provided include

A review of international and national policy (including legislation, regulation, enforcement) and programmes that relates to workplace GBV in Zimbabwe

A gender audit (using both primary and secondary research) to assess: the prevalence and nature of workplace-GBV in Zimbabwe; the existence and suitability of workplace measures to minimise and appropriately manage incidents of GBV; the degree to which existing legislation is properly enforced

A Public Private Dialogue (PPD) to discuss findings and commit relevant stakeholders to action

Delivery of training and a manual or Code of Conduct, complementing that being developed by the ILO’s Spotlight Initiative, to equip EMCOZ with the knowledge and skills to: support its members in tackling workplace GBV and to work with tripartite committee on labour to design, implement and evaluate gender related policies
